About Susan London

Thanks for visiting London Writes!  I am Susan London, owner, writer, and creative genius extraordinaire. I’m also pro-Oxford comma, in case you’re a grammar geek and were wondering.

I graduated with a journalism degree from Radford University in 1992 after switching my major from art when I realized I was better at creating images through words than through drawing.

Forever a beach girl, I lived in Ocean City, Maryland for several years where I wrote feature articles for one of the weekly papers, Ocean City Today, and promotional materials and newsletters for organizations including the Executive Women’s Golf Association and the Worcester County Bed & Breakfast group.

A resident of North Carolina since 1998, I’ve written press releases and marketing materials, articles for regional publications, and have edited full-length fiction and non-fiction writing.  I also maintain a blog, survivingnc.com, which covers various aspects of living in central North Carolina from a Yankee’s point of view.

I’m a member of the Triangle Association of Freelancers and the North Carolina Writer’s Network, and I have a wide range of interests including local, state and national politics, public education advocacy, the arts, travel, and financial literacy.

I look forward to assisting you with your next word-related project!
